President Bashar al-Assad of Syria Makes One Good Point

Don't get me wrong; I'm no big fan of al-Assad, but when a man's right, he's right:

"Usually, the Americans say they cannot control their borders with Mexico," he said, with a laugh, "yet they tell us to control our borders."

Touché, Mr. al-Assad.

That's still no excuse for Syria not to control their borders, because there is no excuse for our government not controlling our border with Mexico. Syria is still at fault regarding their borders and our government is still at fault regarding our border with Mexico.

Unfortunately, I have no false illusions that our government will do anything about our border with Mexico just because the Syrian president called a spade a spade.
