Life Is Precious and God Alone Is Its Author

As we mourn the passing of Pope John Paul II, let us remember his teachings about the sanctity of life. Let us remember his love for the unborn, the disabled, the sick, the lowly, those who have no voice.

John Paul II was no stranger to suffering. Even through his afflictions, he respected life and God as the creator and author of life. He taught unceasingly that God was the only one who can create life and it is not in the authority of mankind to kill the innocent or the helpless.

It has been a long week of mourning and sorrow. Let us remember John Paul II's life and that life is precious and must be nurtured, respected, honored and cherished.
